Last Wednesday was my birthday! I waited until Saturday night to have a party, about 50 of my favourite friends came over and we just chilled before going out clubbing in the valley to party it up! I put up 5 strings of tiny little fairy lights in our outdoor area and also in the garden, plus a few strings of lanterns, and the house looked just beautiful! It was a really enjoyable occasion, and made me want to host more parties- the planning is just as fun as the actual event!

Hello friendly readers! I've been feeling disengaged from my blog lately so I'm going to change "her" style a bit and see if it suits me better! Nothing dramatic- don't worry! Just more in terms of what I discuss and how I present it :)

Goomburra

Last weekend a group of 16 of us piled into 4 cars and headed out to Isobel's farm in Goomburra, near the small town of Warwick. The nights were so chilly but I lit a few good fires to keep us cosy! During the day we climbed a mountain (probably the steepest surface I have ever attempted to climb!), and went swimming in the creek. Isobel's dog Finn came out with us and he is so adorable and friendly.

More celebrations!

On Friday night our friend Eveline had a beautiful party at her house in celebration of her Birthday. She had fairylights leading all the way through her house, which looked amazing, and a whole lot of paparazzi cocktails were served (I found a good recipe here.) It's only 3 weeks now until my Birthday, which I am more excited than anything ever for (freedom!).

Dinner for a Friend

My friend Tyler turned 18 on Friday! She celebrated with a lovely dinner with our close group of friends- with a few bottles of champagne and the best company, I had an excellent night! Last month Tyler and her family moved to just one street over from my house, it's so nice having a friend that close all time, and means I always have someone to go on coffee dates with.

Last Friday Night.

Last Friday night (as the title suggests!) Maeve held a party in celebration of her 18th birthday. Her yard was positively illuminated by fairy lights and looked absolutely beautiful! So many of our friends were there, many of whom I haven't seen since school, so it was a great opportunity to catch up and have a bit of fun. I'm hoping to take things a little more quietly this weekend though- we've had 6 straight weekends of parties, so I'm planning on catching a play that some friends are in on Saturday night, and then having a nice lunch with the girls on Sunday.

I'm so sorry for my leave of absence, but between work and university I've had no time for blogging in rather a while! I've attached a random assortment of photos with this post- a couple of film shots from Brittany's party, which was held on her property at Samford, and was a very fun (and a little crazy) occasion! The other is just of a beautiful sunset the other day, and the end of my street leading down to the river. Dad's been away on a business trip so he had to take the precious camera with him, and I'm experiencing withdrawals!
